Just to let you know I am transitioning from my current website to an etsy storefront which I am finally updating regularly.

The debate really wasn't the bloodbath I was anticipating. That's good. It's nice to see manners. That said, the bar was very low for Palin.

    I don't know anything about this republican vice president candidate. She's greener than Obama (for the record, I am not saying this to mean it's a negative quality I'm just saying it as fact.) So of course I googled her. And what do I find? Some relevant facts and that she named her kids- Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and Trig. And why do I find this interesting? Because two of them are names I definitely have in my head, cached away for future use but dismissed as too bizarre for the general public (says the girl who named her kid Griffin- I'm easing you in ;-) ), two sound VERY similar to another name I have in that same category. And Willow? I'm pretty sure I would name a cat that. Why do I find this interesting? It just is, that's all.

 This is about as far into politics as I delve in public. I usually just let the fire get thrown as I sit and watch the flames trail by me. It's safest that way here in MA. Even if you are on the same side they find a way to argue with you. We're a very fiery angry squad. I think it's the long winters coupled with the humid summers. You'd be angry too if you finally got to take off three layers of socks just to have your hair frizz up into a squirrels' nest.

Jessica (and Felicity ;-) ) has told me time and again to submit this particular photo to a magazine or contest or something, so I did.

I finally opened an etsy shop. A while ago actually, but I'm just going "public". It's mostly baby stuff because I still have my art site and I've just been into baby crafts lately. Surprise, surprise. ;-) I don't have a huge lot of time (surprise, surprise) but it's fun to add stuff every once in a while. ;-)

I'm still learning cool community things and there's a lot of cool ways to search objects- like by color in pictures? Who knew? But I don't get to spend as much time navigating and learning the site as I would like. I will have to take a crash course. ;-)

I thought I would post since I've been MIA, since, well, since last year.

There is so much to catch up on here I'm overwhelmed. I'm going to start small. So this is it.

We're alive. We're all good. We're all happy. Some of us are getting bigger, some of us are getting smaller, some of us are staying the same. You can guess who's who and you'd probably be right. ;-)

i didn't get to see the premiere of america's next top model (you can shun me for watching later) so i taped it. then i went back and watched it a couple days later. one of the girls had the most awful accent and so i made fun of her. then i was like, "wait, where was that girl FROM?" and so i rewound the tape and replayed it. lo and behold, she's from walpole, ma. way to represent.

    It's probably weird that whenever i see "HP" now I think Harry Potter despite the fact that it's a picture with laptops on it and clearly a Hewitt-Packard ad, right?
    No, I have NOT finished book 7. I started over with 4 because I don't remember a lick and I don't want to be halfway through 7 thinking, oh I wish I had read those over! So it'll likely be December before I finish it. I do OWN book 7 though. I saw it at Walmart for 18 bucks and I couldn't very well pass that up.

aw, i got an e-mail from fred telling me that my work on today's lof strip was great. i love getting random e-mails from people saying such. ok, you may think that a message from fred isn't a big RANDOM deal but i just recently learned that he actually read LoF regularly which he didn't used to do so i was quite surprised to even get an e-mail. usually it's just tom e-mailing me to tell me i'm awesome.
oh, rich, watch out for alyson hannigan obsession strips in late august.
